Picturing Yoga for Me
When I saw the Athleta & Yoga Journal competition asking to submit photos I turned to my husband who has a nice set of camera gear to get a shot to submit. Yoga has been a lifesaver for me, especially over the past few years as a new mom to twin boys.
Here were the rules:
Readers will judge and vote on entries based on who they would like to see gracing the pages of Yoga Journal. Of the top five finalists with the most reader votes, Yoga Journal’s editorial team will choose a grand prize winner and model based on skill of pose, alignment, creativity of written answer, personality and suitability for Yoga Journal.
Here is my answer (in 300 characters or less) to what yoga means to me:
Yoga carries me through the landmines of life. A collegiate Hurdler turned Marathoner-Triathlete-Yogini-Meditator, I was surprised by spontaneous twins! Put on bed rest followed by the first year fog of twinsanity, I emerged to found Seeds Yoga, integrating vinyasa and the science of happiness.
